About Me

Hi, my name is Kris Bineau and I would like to take this time to tell you a little bit about myself. I am a Certified Advanced Newborn Care Specialist & Infant/Toddler Sleep Consultant and I live in Parker, Colorado, which is just south of Denver. I am originally from Southern California and I have 3 awesome adult kids!  We lived on a little ranch out in the country where we once had horses, goats, chickens, dogs & cats, but now down to 1 horse, 1 dog and 4 cats! In my spare time, I love to volunteer at a horse rescue, help out at dog adoption events, as well and foster them, ride horses & motorcycles, ski/snowboard with my kids, garden… and of course, go shopping! I have also helped out in the NICU holding those precious tiny babies as parents cannot be there 24/7.

All my life I have loved children, especially the newborns. From age 12, I was always the neighborhood babysitter, helped out in all the church nurseries and would dote upon every baby that came to visit. Even at an early age, my family and friends would notice and express to me that special “gift” I had with babies, I just clicked with them very well.

Even at an early age, my family and friends would notice and express to me that special “gift” I had with babies, I just clicked with them very well.

My childhood dream profession was, of course, to work in the nursery or in the NICU at the hospital as a nurse or even a doctor, but as it turns out, God had other plans for me.

As I got older and started having kids of my own, I knew whatever I did as a career, it had to involve kids, mainly babies. So, I worked in daycare centers in Southern California. I also went to school to get my Early Childhood Education certificate and became a preschool teacher.

After working in and observing the world of big daycare centers, preschools, etc., I was saddened to discover that they were all the same…. just businesses! They couldn’t possibly love, care for and give individual attention to the children like they truly deserved! These centers were only in to the quantity of kids and the profits they made off of these kids and I questioned myself if I really wanted to be a part of that system. The answer was no, I didn’t.

All my friends, family and neighbors were encouraging me to start my own daycare out in California, and so I did in 1997. I wanted to give kids the best first few years of their childcare experience that they deserved! Also during that time, as my kids were young, I became the nursery director at our church, taught Sunday school, became a MOPS leader, and helped out with vacation bible school every year.

After moving to beautiful Colorado in Spring of 2006, I continued my daycare business, mainly to get my “baby fix”, as my kids were getting older. Unfortunately in 2011, I had a sudden halt in my daycare, as parents were losing their jobs, so I starting looking into other careers that I can do to continue working with babies. I was thrilled to find out that there was a huge demand for Newborn Care Specialists and/or night nannies! So, I went through 9 extremely thorough classes on Infant Care and took an extra 9 classes on Sleep Training and have proudly received my certificates. With over 40 years of hands-on experience and all the education I have received, I can honestly say I have finally found my dream job!

As a Newborn Care Specialist, I reassure the parents, answer questions or troubleshoot any problems, and equip them with the tools they will need to make this transition to parenthood relaxed and enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoy helping new parents overcome the fear, stress or anxiety that they might have when they bring their little one home. I am also available to relieve parents when they are at the end of their rope or just need a break! I truly enjoy seeing parents who are well rested, relaxed and enjoying their precious new babies!

Being on this schedule ultimately assisted Jack to sleep through the night by age 7 weeks. Through Kris’s assistance, teaching and guidance, I was able to understand Jack and now really enjoy being his mom.
